About Jamie

Jamie Preuss, LCSW Thoughtful, trauma-informed therapy in Fort Collins and across Colorado.

I’m Jamie Preuss, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Northern Colorado. I bring more than fourteen years of experience providing therapy and consultation using a trauma-informed, collaborative approach.

I’ve long been curious about the human experience—how people adapt, cope, and grow through life’s challenges. This curiosity, along with a deep respect for human resilience, continues to shape the way I approach my work with clients today.

In therapy, my goal is to create a thoughtful and supportive space where clients feel respected, understood, and able to explore what may be weighing on them. Many of the people I work with are navigating anxiety, past trauma, parenting stress, or significant life transitions. They may appear steady on the outside while carrying a great deal internally. Together, we work toward greater self-understanding, practical coping strategies, and healthier ways of relating to themselves and others.

Reaching out for therapy can sometimes feel uncertain or intimidating. If you’re considering counseling, I welcome the opportunity to connect and answer any questions you may have about the process so you can determine whether working together feels like the right fit.

When I’m not working with clients, I enjoy spending time outdoors in Colorado, chasing after my kiddos who are active in local sports and activities, spending time in the PNW, enjoying Colorado’s live music scene, working around the yard, and staying grounded in the places and relationships that matter most.

I welcome you to reach out if you’d like to explore whether therapy together would feel like a good fit.

“…She treats me with respect and concern and I feel comfortable talking with her about anything without judgement. Jamie has helped me process some of the most difficult moments over the past year and I owe her a debt of gratitude for leading me through to better days.”

My approach is collaborative, trauma-informed, and grounded in curiosity, creating a space for thoughtful reflection, skill development, and professional growth.

Clinical supervision is available for those working toward required supervision hours for licensure, with a focus on strengthening clinical skills, case conceptualization, ethical practice, and integrating trauma-informed and EMDR-informed perspectives into clinical work.

Supervision is available for individuals and groups, with virtual options across Colorado.
